RESTAURANTS

Let the Nauti Otter recommend some restaurants in Seward and other nearby Kenai Peninsula dinning locations.

The Best Dinning on the Kenai Peninsula...take it from a local.

There are plenty of good places to eat along the Kenai Peninsula, and Seward Alaska. Indulge in some fresh Alaskan sea food right at Ray's on the Waterfront. If you're looking for something quick, the famous Hamajang taco truck serves a unique fusion of Pacific Rim food in taco form. There are also dinner cruises in the Kenai Fjord National Park.  If you like the night life, there is always the Yukon Bar, Thorn's Showcase Lounge and many other happening places in downtown Seward where you can be entertained by live bands, karaoke, and nautical fun decor.

Night Life
Night Life
Mingle with the locals at karaoke or listen to live music at one of the bars in town. Leave a dollar bill on the ceiling of the Yukon Bar, enjoy a "Duck Fart" at Tony's, pile into a cab at 2am and head to the Pit Bar where you can party it up with locals until 5 am! Swing by Thorn's Showcase Lounge and try the Nauti Otter cocktail.
Ray's on the Waterfront
Ray's on the Waterfront
Best view in town! This is located right on the bay and has an awesome view of the harbor. You can often see sea otters swimming by as you eat. They have excellent seared tuna, along with a nice bar area. Ray’s is one of the more upscale places to eat in Seward, but again, it is Alaska and anything you wear is acceptable. The food here is excellent.
Red's Burgers
Red's Burgers
Red’s Burger Bus is a great place for unique, hand-crafted burgers. You can try various kinds of Alaskan game meat in your burgers like caribou, buffalo, elk, and venison. They have a variety of specialty fries such as “Cajun” and “garlic”. You can eat inside the “school bus” or at picnic tables. Top your meal off with a milkshake!
Smoke Shack
Smoke Shack
The Smoke Shack is a great place for breakfast and lunch (they close at 3 p.m.). They have scrumptious pulled-pork sandwiches, portobello mushroom dishes, and daily lunch specials. Their chicken fried steak and crab benedict for breakfast is amazing!
Thorns Showcase Lounge
Thorns Showcase Lounge
Hands down, the Otters favorite place to eat EVER! We otters have fine-dined all over the globe, and this is still our #1 go-to! We crave their flash fried, savory "Bucket of But", halibut chunks with homemade cocktail sauce. Their huge shrimp cocktail and cheesy tots are perfect for sharing. Feeling a bit festive? Thorn's has created the one and only "Nauti Otter" beverage for the strong. One glass of this and you will be ready to party all night long! This place isn't your upscale seafood restaurant, by any means. You will feel like you have stepped back into time, with their velvet lined bar and tufted vinyl chairs.
Woody's Thai
Woody's Thai
Woody’s Thai Kitchen, named after Seward’s beloved and iconic sea lion, is just a short 5-10 minute walk south of the Seward Boat Harbor. They serve authentic, Bangkok-style Thai curries, soups, noodles and rice dishes along with specialties that infuse Alaskan-Pacific Northwest and Pacific Rim ingredients with traditional Thai family recipes.
