BACKPACK
Everyone needs a backpack or camelback. Whether you plan on hiking, fishing, kayaking or just messing around town, it's nice to have a large bag to carry around.
COOLER
If you plan on going hiking, it's smart to bring a collapsible cooler for snacks.
HIKING BOOTS
It can rain a lot, so make sure the shoes you bring are water resistant.
MEDICINE
Everything is more expensive up here and you could be in remote areas, so make sure you bring what you think you will need.
SUNGLASSES
It's probably going to be daylight most of the day while you are in Alaska! Don't forget your shades!
LAYERS
Temperatures average around 60-70 degrees. Bring items like: tank tops, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, capris, cargo pants, hiking gear. When the otters go hiking, they start off in a sweatshirt and jeans and end up in a tank top with their pants rolled up.

RAIN GEAR
It can rain a LOT in Seward, being a coastal town. Bring lightweight rain gear (pants and coat) to prepare for rainy weather . We don't stop around here just because it's raining!
CAMERA
Don't forget your camera so you can take the most amazing pictures ever!
BUG SPRAY & SUNSCREEN
The bugs aren't too bad around Seward, but if you are going to other parts of Alaska, bring some repellent! Hopefully, it will be sunny and you will need sunscreen!
RUBBER BOOTS
If you have space in your suitcase, bring some rubber boots. It's fun to check out the low tides near the bay. Everyone in Alaska wears them!
SOCKS & UNDIES
It's smart to bring wool, breathable socks if you plan on going hiking or fishing. There is no where to buy undies in Seward if you forget them!
